How it works

A Tiny Climate Act is a small act that anyone, anywhere can take to collectively drive change

Step 1:

Sign up with your work email

Use your company email to register. If a group already exists, you’ll see an option to join it.

First one in? Create your company’s group. Most teams use a single group per company for simplicity, but if you have multiple departments, multiple email domains, or want to invite participants outside your company, you can set your group to public so everyone can find it.

No work email? No problem—just sign up with a personal email and join (or create) a public group to get started.

Step 2:

Log your acts

Whenever you do something sustainable—like eat a zero-waste meal, commute by bike, or skip single-use plastics—click “New Act +” to record it.

Add a quick note or photo if you like. Each act funds 1 metric ton of carbon credits (up to 1,000 total)—roughly the emissions from a passenger’s round-trip flight between LA and London.

Step 3:

Track your progress

Company leaderboard: Check who’s leading among your coworkers, or see other available groups you can join within your organization.

After you register or log in, click your name in the top-right corner and select Profile. Scroll down to see your current group and click “View Leaderboard.”

Campaign Leaderboard: Compare your impact to everyone else in the #TinyClimateActs campaign. Friendly rivalries can spark huge numbers!

Step 4:

Compete for prizes

Top individual: $150 Everlane or Patagonia gift card + $150 donation to your chosen environmental nonprofit + sustainable Greenplaces swag.

Top team: A 1-hour strategy session with ex-CSOs from GM, Nike, or BofA—plus our VP of Sustainability—and a custom infographic capturing your impact.

Quick FAQs

Is each act officially offsetting my company's carbon footprint?

No—these credits aren’t applied to your formal Scope 1, 2, or 3 inventory. They’re purely an awareness tool to show how small acts can add up.

Does every single act need a photo?

Photos are optional. We encourage them for fun and to inspire others, but you can simply log the act and a short description.

What if multiple groups get created for my company?

Multiple groups are allowed. Anyone with a matching domain can join any group under your company, and a group’s creator can also make it “public” to include participants with different or personal emails. That said, it’s often simpler to encourage everyone to join one main group if you want all acts in one place.

Can I exceed the 1,000-acts cap?

Yes—keep logging after we reach 1,000. We’ll still display your actions on the leaderboard, but the carbon credit match only applies up to that limit.
